Volunteers needed

Message from PTO President Jenn Luke
I would like every class to have a room parent this year. If anyone can do that it would be much appreciated. The room parent helps with communication to other parents if needed and coordinating a teacher gift if wanted, etc. It doesn’t take a lot of time. You don’t even necessarily have to do anything in the class. It’s more about communicating with the other parents if the teachers need you to and organizing gifts at the holidays and the end of the year. Please let me know if you could be the room parent by emailing

We also need some help for the reading incentive program. I have a bunch of people who have signed up with the volunteer form. This entails tallying up the reading sheets once turned in for each student and giving out tickets for the school store each time a student turns in an entire sheet.

We need Volunteers for the Boys Fall Formal which will be on November 5th from 6-8pm. Please contact Amanda Tanaka (amandatanaka at ymail dot com) if you can help. This is a fun event and a great fundraisers, but help is needed.

We need volunteers to help run the talent show. This involves people to help with three Friday’s after school for rehearsals, the day of the event before and after. This is usually held the Friday before thanksgiving and is a big fundraiser for the school. Several people can help to run it together. Please contact Jenn at you can help.

Thanks everyone! So happy to see all the people who are willing to volunteer so far! We have a wonderful community at Coolidge!
